Understanding HT/FT Betting HT / FT is a way of predicting the outcome of both the first half and the full time result and combing that into a single bet. This can often offer more value for money when betting on particularly strong teams. Take Manchester City or Bayern Munich, for example. Betting on them just to win after 90 minutes might be short odds, but you will always get better odds if you are willing to also bet on them winning at HT.
This adds more risk to your bet, thus the higher odds. This guide will show you how to find teams with less risk when it comes to making these bets. When betting on HT/FT, you can bet on 9 possible outcomes:
Home / Home Home / Draw Home / Away Away / Home Away / Draw Away / Away Draw / Home Draw / Draw Draw / Away This might look confusing as first, but it’s really easy to understand. The first option is for the first half result, and the second is for… You guessed it, the second half. So, “Home / Home” means that the home side will be winning at both HT and FT, whilst “Draw / Away” means the HT score will be a draw but the FT result will see the away side winning.
Finding Teams Now you have an understanding of the market, it’s time to find the best teams for these bets. I like to use the Trends pages as a starting point and filters when I know what kind of stats I should be filtering for.
Cialciopoli– Football scandal revealed in May 2006, associated with match-fixing and doping.
The implications were severe when Italian authorities discovered that Juventus, Lazio, Milan, Fiorentina, and Reggina were all complicit in manipulated fixed matches with the help of favourable referees.
The ruling of the Sporting Court came on 14 July 2006 and was as follows:
Juventus F.C. lost the Italian league titles won in the 2004/2005 and 2005/2006 seasons and was relegated to Serie B, in which they started the new season with minus 30 points; in the 06/07 season, they did not play in the Champions League.
ACF Fiorentina was relegated to Serie B, in which they entered the new season with minus 12 points; they did not play in the Champions League qualifiers in the 06/07 season.
S.S. Lazio was relegated to Serie B, in which they started the new season with minus 7 points; they did not play in the UEFA Cup in the 06/07 season.
A.C. Milan remained in Serie A but was punished by being stripped of 44 points in 05/06, and started the 06/07 season with minus 15 points, and did not play in the Champions League.
How do you know the match was fixed?
Recognising a rigged fixed games is not as easy as it may seem. Imagine how many times you have shouted in front of the T.V. or at the stadium: ‘the referee is a jerk!’ probably more than once, you thought there was something wrong, and either the referee or the players pocketed big money. But simple mistakes don’t always go hand in hand with corrections because sport is a game of errors, and usually, the one who makes the least of them wins. Nevertheless, any suspicious behaviour should make you wary. This is the first sign that a preconceived scenario may be unfolding before your eyes.
Another way of identifying fixed plays is through betting sites. If you notice a sudden jump in betting odds on, for example, a team that was given no chance; or strange changes in the number of goals, cards, or corner kicks, be aware that this is not a common occurrence. To summarise, there is no pre-determined soccer fixed matches way of identifying a fixed match 100% of the time. Something might look like the most desperate or ridiculous in the world fixed match, however.
For example, when a player concedes an easy goal from two yards out, in the end, he can always justify that it was due to a hole in the field or tension at a critical moment.
But how do you prove that he missed on purpose because it wasn’t in his best interests to win?
When is a “fixed match” not a genuine fixed match?
Reducing the odds on a draw to the @1.70 level does not always mean a fix is in play.
Instead, it is often caused by information that has been overestimated.
There may be several reasons for not getting into a supposedly “fixed match”:
information about a potentially fixed match has come from an undefined sourcea rumour was startedthe bet became overbid, and the teams did not take the risk to avoid being accused of match-fixing soccerbookmakers bought the match result and bet on a different result other reasons!
Where to Find Soccer Fixed Matches?
In practice, it is very difficult or even impossible to access information about match-fixing. On the other hand, the Internet is bursting at the seams with sites promising types for supposed fixes. This is especially so on Facebook Fixed Matches, where you can create a profile in seconds and start making promises without any coverage. They use different betting patterns and fake coupons. And yet, there are still people who fall for it.

As we’ve said, HT/FT betting tips is similar to the WDW market except that as well as betting on what the final result will be you’re also betting on who will be winning at halftime too.

Half time Full time Odds
Odds vary depending on the bookmaker or betting site you choose, as well as the football fixed match itself. As with WDW, some outcomes, e.g. draw/draw fixed matches are simply much more unlikely than others almost regardless of teams, and so will have higher odds.
What makes a sure half time/full time bet?
Exactly when you should go for which bet (win/win etc) depends on the specific sure fixed ht ft match. However, there are some good rules that apply to all successful football betting, and betting on HT/FT is no exception.
Do Your Research
This is especially important when selecting half time/full time tips as there are many possible options for the final bet. One team might be dominant and win a lot of matches at HT and FT, but if the team they are playing is good at setting up defensively in the first half before tiring in the second half (lots of draws at HT, and losses at FT) then this might be a better bet.
We’ve got the best data around for this market, including our league table which shows you if teams perform differently against teams of different quality. For more info on how to use our league table to make better half time full time bets, check out the help section.
